Enjoy an evening of fun and creativity and unwind with an artful get-together.Try a Social Paint workshop with your friends Beckon your artistic spirit by learning to use a variety of mediums to create personal artwork from imagination. During Social Paint workshops, you will use some of my favourite artmaking techniques, very freeing exercises that will definitely take the fear factor out of painting or drawing even if you’re fairly new to artmaking. And if you’re already a practiced artist, this experience will surely help you flex your creative muscle. Whatever your skill level, the end result will be uniquely yours – a personal, beautiful creation you’ll love and want to make more of. No cookie-cutter, colour-by-numbers, predigested artwork here! You won’t be painting by copying something someone else has created, you’ll be making art that comes from your heart and that you’ll love. So, even if you haven’t drawn or painted anything in a while (or not since grade school, or like… ever), you will go home with artwork that you’ll be proud of and cherish and with a refreshed artistic energy! Social paint is a little bit like therapy… but with laughter and tea. Or coffee. Or wine if you’re buying! So grab a friend or two or six, and come to my studio for a fun, relaxing and energizing experience. Best part? You don’t have to buy anything art-related once you’ve signed up: All art materials are provided. There’s complementary unlimited tea and coffee. We’ll even provide the stemware if you want to bring a bottle of wine to share with your friends (BYOW). The nitty gritty: What are we creating? You can choose a Painting or Drawing workshop for your group (one option only per session) How do I register? Once you’ve decided which workshop you’d like (Painting or Drawing), pick the day and time from the options offered and register online. If you prefer to register offline as a group, please email me (email@example.com). Group size is limited to 8 in my home studio located in Meadowvale/Streetsville.* Registration closes 1 day before the day of the workshop. *Location and/or days not working for you? Would you rather I come to your studio? We can talk: email me firstname.lastname@example.org or 905-302-048. Some restrictions and off-site travel surcharge may apply. Small group size is encouraged for a more enriching experience. Where is it? At my lovely home studio (3169 Pebblewood Rd., Mississauga ON L5N 6M7 ) – or see note above* What to bring with you: Not the materials, I take care of that. However, art is messy! The materials we’ll be using will stain and likely won’t wash out, so please wear a painting shirt or bring one with you. I do give out disposable aprons but they won't protect sleeves or, more often than you'd think, collars and laps. So unless you like to play laundry roulette (I always lose), I urge you to dress way, way down. What about wine? You can absolutely bring a bottle (or two) of wine if you like (BYO) but nothing to excess because you still need to focus somewhat – that canvas won’t paint itself! I’ll provide the stemware and offer a light snack. Coffee, tea and bottled water are always complementary at the studio. Please let me know of any dietary restrictions or allergies. What about…? You can always email, call or text me if you have any questions I haven't thought of
